What is cash-pickup?

Does my recipient need a bank account?
No. That is the point of cash-pickup — it reaches recipients who are unbanked or prefer cash. They only need valid ID and the reference number.
How does my recipient collect the money?
They visit a participating MoneyGram agent location, present government-issued ID and the reference number you shared, and receive the cash in local currency.
How do I trigger a cash-pickup payout?
Through the same Credible payouts API you use for bank and wallet payouts — cash-pickup is an additional destination type, so there's no separate integration.
How is compliance handled?
Sanctions screening, KYC requirements and payout limits are applied within the payout flow, alongside MoneyGram's own controls, to keep each disbursement compliant.
